The Hidden Nashville

Nashville is uniquely-situated because the diverse communities present are not bordered or in conflict. In some ways,  Nashville is an isle. Independence is both corporate and familial, both personal and communal. In other ways, Nashville is landlocked. The borders are confining but to a degree. Those entering these communities with interest to partake, learn, and/or change a history of separation have the joy of a fresh start. The benefits of sharing in the community  values, rediscovering yourself, or starting a process of healing the lower-class but trendy way, are so vast that you would think you found a paradise.

As a new face in the community, I know that I must embrace a patriotic feel for the arts, the food, the music, and ways of life. It is most helpful if one approaches the area with the most open mind. Of course, this area includes North and East Nashville, Antioch, and Nashville proper. Embracing change is furthered by the acceptance of the skills, lessons, and knowledge that immigrants and the lower-classes have to offer.

Landlocked Nashville is commercial-ready. The isle is ever retrospective in nature, backward-looking.
